Well, not unless you're say Canadian, in which case (by Federal Law) the headlights are on if the engine is running.

On my Ford, putting it in park turns off the DRL, on my Dodge parking brake turns off DRL.
We expect this sort of behavior in CG on weekends and we sit back and enjoy the show on Friday nights...
My 2014 Ram lights only come on when not on Park. My old Ram they worked with the parking brake off.
