I had horrid heartburn, and my doctor attributed it to being overweight. I also had heart issues, so I got serious about diet and exercise. I went from 222 pounds to 167, and a BMI of 24. I exercise vigorously and can run five miles now.
However, the heartburn got WORSE! So now, I take Prilosec OTC every morning. No more heart burn.
Oh, and I've kept the weight off for three years now!
