I have used on board tank but long stays that is a pita. I make up my own using heat tape and never a problem. However, water hose being a poor conductor requires some modification. Wrap aluminum tape around it first then attach the heat tape. The aluminum tape allows the heat to be dispursed better. I used it for several years down to about 15 degrees with no problems. Temps below that the fauset will freeze.
