- sowegoExplorerBesides considering a heated water hose, also consider the faucet at the campground needs to be wrapped with heat tape &/or insulated or,under pressure in extreme cold it will freeze and even though you may have a heated water hose--you may have no water.
- Mike_and_PatExplorerI got the Pirit hose as a gift last year and finally had a chance to use it this past week. It didn't work worth a toot. I am going back to the old school heat tape and pipe insulation like I have been using for the past 6 years. Never had a frozen pipe with the heat tape.
- CardinalCamperExplorerWe fulltime in Kansas on our 2nd winter.Hose,Heat Tape,Foam and pipe wrap.Wrap the heat tape on faucet pipe and pipe wrap. Do Hose the same
We have been down to 6 degrees this winter and have not froze. - doxiemom11Explorer IIWe also got heat tape pipe insulation from the hardware. Never frozen yet and we leave our water hooked up. Lowest temp we have had was about 20.
- PyrateSillyExplorerWe got our Pirit hose from Camping World on sale for about $50 during the summer when we did not need it. Seemed to be much cheaper then.
- TrlrboyExplorerWe do the same thing as Topjimmy... heat tape. We bought a heat tape at Lowes that's 10' longer than the hose so that we could wrap one end around the connections on the trailer and then also around the spigot and pipe at the campsite. Works great.

AMAZON - edatlantaExplorerI fill up my fresh water tank and unhook the water hose when it will be below freezing and operate off of the tank. You can refill your tank even when below freezing if you allowed your host to drain after you unhooked it. Even with a heated hose, which I won't buy, you still have to worry about the water faucet you hook to. Not worth it for me.
- Golden_HVACExplorerSo you really want a $250 heated water hose?
I would rather just fill up my fresh water tank on warmer days, and dump at the same time.
