Most of the posts were about extended warranties. I share the dissatisfaction with these "rip off" documents with more exceptions than a piece of Swiss cheese.
What I haven't seen is an explanation of why the original RV warranty, from the manufacturer is no better than what Detroit offered in 1969 (12 month 12,000mi).
One would think with 40 years of ever improving "quality" (according to some claims) and seeing what Japan did to US auto industry, the RV industry would have demonstrated the ability or desire to make a product that doesn't need a trip back to the manufacturer to function in the most basic manner.
BUT we don't see the improvements we should demand.
When you look at the exception list from extended warranty we see that they know the most basic component such as electrical wiring or water pipe is of such poor quality that they will not provide coverage.
Maybe the RV manufacturers could significantly improve the quality of their product by going to Harbor Freight for their supplier.
