Short story.. I once gave directions to an insurance adjuster to go look at an impounded car.. He ask why the tow company I worked for had not notifed them we had the car (not my job within the firm) I told him that was the duty of the police department, fired up my laptop, Loaded the Motor Vehicle code off the hard drive and showed him He ask for a print out,, Took out my A-6 pocket printer and printed it up, in 3 point type (What the A-6 does, regular printers are A-4, what' A-4, Well take a big sheet of paper and fold it in half 4 times turing 90 degrees between each fold so that it is roughly 8.5x11 (NOTE A-4 is not that size but very close) that is A-4,, What's A-6, 2 more folds of course.
He said "That print is too small I can't read it"
The Body shop write up girl laughed and said "Insurance companies INVENTED fine print".
And so they did.
You got bit by the fine print... So did I recently but in my case I blelieve the fine print was, shall we say,,, pushed,, I think there was a fault in the original contract and thus have notified the insurance regulatory commission.
Thus, my problem can not be discussed here.. (Pending action by authorities) and will not be.
But I do know how you feel.
I would appeal the decision.
