just charging batteries and a little TV now and then one Honda 2000i will do but if you think you will need more power then get two with a kit and that gives you a lot of different set ups to use and about 4K of power maybe a little less.. We have two Honda 2000I's and that’s all we have really ever needed for AC or Microwave, but most of the time run one to charge the batteries when dry camping at the beach. Any of the 2000's are easy to move and store when not in use, our setup is two Honda’s and an extended run fuel tank which turned out to be a great combo for us and runs for a very long time without needing to refuel. If you’re looking for something onboard be prepared to be buying a lot of propane. Have not heard of to many people that use a diesel generator unless in a diesel motorhome, the smaller lighter generators can be used for other things like when the power is out at the house or family outings. Keep your fellow campers in mind when you do buy one since the less you pay the louder it normally will be.
