Hensley Arrow

I want buy a used hensley hitch, the hensley seems to be a cloud of mystery. They don't tell you a price or if it's a one size fits all application on their website.

Does the it come in different capacity's like most weight distribution systems or are they all the same?

Thanks

  • They are extremely helpful. We have always dealt with Aaron. I believe there is a weight capacity but the stinger is the most important in measurement for your setup. We had a Hensley Arrow with our TT, then when we bought our fifth wheel, we traded in the Hensley Arrow for their TrailerSaver BD3 fifth wheel hitch. Both are excellent products. I just sent an email to them asking about a cover for the BD3 and was immediately responded to - I ordered the cover and got an email the next day, it has been shipped. Their customer service is amazing.
  • I think they might have 2 models, One for light trailers with low tongue weight. The the other covers all others. The Hitch and Stinger are rated to 1400 lbs tongue weight, The weight distribution bars come in 1000 lb and 14000 lb when I bought mine 10 years ago. Call them and they can help you more.
  • Like the others, call Hensley - they are super to deal with. This hitch offers tremendous safety on the road...I experienced others before coming to Hensley. Safe travels.
  • my arrow cost over 2 grand and I have had to change out the stinger 3 times...... hasnt been easy to get setup. i havent really gotten a warm fuzzy.....and mine is a refurb...
  • Surprised Hensley hasn't been able to get you squared away...PM if you would like some assistance.
  • I towed with a Hensley Arrow for 12 years through all the lower 48 states and 5 Canadian provinces.

It is a fine piece of equipment.

They basically have two models, the standard Hensley Arrow and the Hensley Cub.

The Cub is for trailers with light tongue weights.

The standard Hensley Arrow can be used with different spring bars, dependent on your trailer tongue weight. I started with 1000 lb bars and graduated to 1400 lb bars when I got a heavier trailer.

The stinger bar is solid and comes in straight, 2" drop/rise and 4" drop/rise. You need to know your receiver height and tongue height to select the right stinger bar.

I have always found the staff at Hensley helpful and friendly. Contact them, they can answer your questions.
