hey, do you think outrigger pads are useful for a truck?

I found an RV like this, and there is one plastic pad in the front. I found some similar pads like that are these pads necessary for the RV? what do you think about that?

    I use them, anything that makes the jack footprint a little larger is good, especially on softer soil.

That thing is made of plastic, is it stable and strong?

      I should mention that I carry a bunch of 2X12 pieces about 12" long that I use to stack up on top of the plastic pads if I need more height on uneven sites.  just go to home depot, buy a 2x12 (I use pressure treated and cut it into 12" lengths)  its fairly cheep and when they get old just throw them out and buy a new one.
