We are snow birds heading down 95 South. I can't believe how many RVs are heading NORTH! Class As, Class Cs, TTs, vans, you name it. Where are they going?? Oh and Happy New Year!

Scientists went down to study climate change, my foot- that's an "ECOTOURISM" ship, mostly. That whole "scientific expedition" thing became the story only after the ship got stuck in the ice.

Folks with more money than brains, paying to go along while somebody takes temperature readings down in the Arctic, or does any scientific thing at all while they're aboard- it's the latest thing!
My fondest hope is that they'll stay out there until breakup along about May or so, or better yet: walk out just like that REAL Arctic explorer Shackleton did.
I s'pose that won't happen, since the supply of white wine couldn't possibly hold out that long...:B
