Considering some areas actually see real temps of 105, lowering the alarm temp TOO much can lead to false alarms.
When mine alarmed, it was 90 degrees outside, and it alarmed at 160, when I THINK my other tires read 115. That is only a 45 degree difference. Lower the alarm temp by 10 degrees, and raise the ambient temp by 15 degrees, and you are only looking at a potential 20 degree span between maximum normal temp and alarm temp.
