Have you ever noticed that all drivers yield to the maniac that is speeding and weaving. It's like we're scared to get involved in the wreck that we know is going to happen,.....so the best thing to do is just let them go on.
Therefore, a long time ago I decided that I wanted to be THAT crazy guy. What I do is speed while still on the on-ramp, and I actually start passing vehicles which are in the highway merge lane before I even need to merge. By the time I get to the merge lane I just slip right in, and nobody complains because I'm already in front of them and pulling away. Nobody likes a driver who gets in their way. Ssooo, I stay out of everyone's way. Works for me.
