I have a hitch haul. I use it for occasional storage for portable gensets. I ordered the option railing. The lip of the carrier didn't seem tall enough to keep items in place even with ratchet style tie downs. It flops back and forth as the receivers are not as tight as I think it should be. I bought an anti-rattle clamp to hold it tighter.
Good dollar value. I would recommend the rails.
