Hitch parts crossover

My enclosed trailer is loaded 6-8k lbs with a tongue weight 800-1100 lbs. the The Harbor Freight WDH does fine on mine, but anything more would require a higher rated model from someone else.

Thank you for the info. The trailer itself is under 10k, but the posted hitch weight is 1040, so I'm betting closer to 11-1150.

Reese and DrawTite stopped using the flat spring & pin retained style round bars a few years ago, retention is completely different. So you probably won't find new bars from them any longer, used occasionally show up on craigslist. Curt and other basic hitch makers should be the same.

Curt and Reese bars fit, but I would not trust the hitch head or bar hangers beyond 10k lbs. Get a matched set instead of mixing capacities.
