Hitch-up problems with JEEP

Question

We tow a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Since the recall by Jeep in 2013, we have had nothing but trouble shifting into neutral to tow. We have spent over $1000 for new parts and labor over the last year and still do not have a fix. Last word was that a new "fix" would be available in July. We thought other Jeep owners would like to trace back their problems to see if they started with the recall,

Same problem with my 2008 GC following the transfer case update.  Mine was fixed by a reboot of the cars electrical.  It was coincidental as I had the car in to the Jeep dealer for work on the transfer case problem and of course they couldn't help me.  Decided to have a new battery installed.  Voila.  No more problem with the transfer case.  Good luck.
