I'm Scot/Irish/French so there is only a couple of things I toss.

My lard butt and whiskey.

The Scots were practical folks....weapons were banned so they had stones and tree trunks that were used to hone skills under the guise of 'playing' games

I have Scottish heritage also but, I think I am more interested in the shortbread and whiskey than the caber.

DW and I were born in Scotland and we don't toss the caber, but I do like to toss back a few cold ones. Love the description of Hogmanay.

I'm OK with all the festivities, but that "cleaning the house" stuff, well ... that just ain't gonna happen!
