You need very good drill bits to drill the High Strength Steel in those UniBodies. And a powerful but low speed drill. You're better off with a Harbor Fright drill turning a Bosch bit than a Bosch drill turning a Harbor Freight bit.
AND DON'T do the Fascia Trimming shown in the Baseplate Instructions till the baseplate is installed and you actually see how much of that expensive plastic actually needs to be cut.
I recently paid $200 for a used Roadmaster baseplate on eBay and $350 for a used Roadmaster All-Terrain 6000# towbar on Craigs List. Have a Brake Buddy I bought new for about $900 several years ago.
Lighting is LED lamp assemblies from Amazon at about $30 per pair, with boat trailer wiring harnesses.
A new Roadmaster baseplate is around $400.
All labor was DIY.
I'm not a fan of Camping World, but they have their place. Sometimes they offer cut rate installation on baseplates. I don't know if they offer that along with some of their sale offers. If so, you might get a CW plate bought and installed for less than an Amazon plate and retail pricing for installation.
DO look at Ready Brute. It wasn't on the market when I needed braking and went Brake Buddy because we had two vehicles (Pickup and Toyota) set up for towing. One BB serves both. All I had to do was run wiring DIY.

I believe i was quoted at least $700-800 less rom camping world on a car a year or so ago...wasnt the patriot system, but brake buddy i believe. Im gonna get another quote from them. Also a quote from another dealership. A person I know said that his dealership let him purchase the equipment on his own and then they installed it.. he said he saved a good bit of money.. Like i said, with installation costs with the one place i mentioned, they were going to be over $4000... I also gotta remember they are the dealership who was $15000 off on a quote for a class b over a dealership a few hours away. Wouldn't budge. I guess they get enough people willing to waste their money.
