Ok, just got quote back from Camping World on flat tow set up....drum roll please.....$4347.90 (ouch). The good news is that I asked if they would install if I bought the parts elsewhere and they said yes. The labor would still be the same... $760.86 for labor to install base plate, wiring kit and BO patriot braking system. Not sure what the install on the patriot is. I thought it was wireless. I will have to look into that more. Altogether, about 7 hours of labor. They are charging over $160 in shipping let alone. I can get it all free shipping on amazon and at cheaper prices. For instance, they are charging $1395 for the patriot, where as amazon I can get is for less than $1000. Same exact model. They have an "Avail" tow bar listed as $899....I think I can get a different tow bar and cheaper. Can save a few hundred bucks going with a falcon by roadmaster.
Any way more time for research. I would really like to go with the ready brute elite, but not sure if they will install that. A CW about 4 hrs away is listed as one of Readybrutes dealers. I will ask and see. Time to start researching some more...
Anyone avoid the light wiring and just use magnetics?
