Patriot, like Brake Buddy, needs a 12VDC power source and most late model vehicles require a dedicated fuse, wiring and socket direct from the battery. That's because the dashboard sockets are no longer lighters and won't deliver the 15-AMPS needed by Brake Buddy. Probably also wiring back from a breakaway switch on the front of the car.
You CAN go wireless on towed vehicle Stop/Tail lighting. Might be able to get "International" rear lights. Those have a bulb socket in the vacant space occupied by a reflector on USA versions of the car. I'd guess those would be expensive.
Won't be able to do a used base past as it's a 2016 model car... Yeah I saw the dedicated 12 volt socket after watching a video...but if I didn't go the patriot or brake buddy way, there's still about a 6 hour window for them to install the ready brute elite...
