Honda Civics

We are looking at updating our tow dingy behind our motor home. I have spoken with several people who own Honda Civics what say they have no problems in towing the Honda Civic 4 wheel down. We are trying to stay away from using a tow dolly due to storage space at camp grounds. an they be towed with out modifications done to the transmissions?
  • If you are looking at a new Civic, Honda or the dealer may chose to deny warranty coverage on the transmission (if you have a problem). Honda only endorse towing the Fit or CRV 4 down, but many tow other models 4 down without any problems. We put many, many miles on our 04 Accord towing it 4 down.
On our new CRV, the Honda dealer/technican tried to deny warranty work on a defective turn signal saying that the problem was caused by the base plate or the 4 wires that went directly to the extra bulbs in the rear lights. I had to prove to them that the 4 down set up did not come close to any Honda wiring.
