Honda Odessey

Anybody towing a 2008 Honda Odessey 4 down
Remco says yes with caveats.
According to their site, and Honda they both say no officially

Thanks for you help
  • I have towed my 2009 Honda Odyssey about 20,000 miles over the last three years. Follow the guidelines for Honda towing of earlier Hondas. I have a battery disconnect as the key must remain on. No problems.

Remco says it is towable, as is, with speed and distance restrictions. Honda says no.
Remco also tells you to check the owners manual for confirmation and procedures.
That sounds like a Catch-22 situation to me.

are speed and distance restrictions in a section titled "towing in an emergency, 10 mi at 30 mph" or in a section "towing behind a motorhome"?

Since Honda and Remco both say no officially, you have three options:

    1) Roll the dice and go for it.
    2) Install a lube pump and go for it.
    3) Dolly tow it. I don't like tow dollies much, but if I had that rig and really liked it that's the route I would go since it's the only way to eliminate the chance for drivetrain damage.

  • since it is no longer a warranty issue, go for it and if your tranny blows up, ask Remco for reimbursement.
