Hook up a hose or fill fresh water tank in cold weather ?

Here lately in cold weather I find myself just putting water in my fresh water tank at campgrounds and pumping from the tank that is heated in the bay instead of putting a hose out, to me this serves ...

I like having the tank full all the time! Puts weight forward on our 5er pin, 5er rides smoother with it full. Over New Years, we were running off the park water night temps in the very low 30's no problem until the last night, water almost froze. :S That said I had a full tank to fall back on.
