Horrific is people killed. Sad is an animal being killed. Why is it that animal lovers in this country seem to value animal life over human. Animals were made to be eaten, horses, dogs, etc.

as someone who raises livestock for human consumption I find the way in which these horses were killed horrific and a senseless waist of life. I also find the attitude stated above on the value of the lives of animals appalling and one not likely to be present in those who have had to burry animals they have raised (pets or livestock).

BTW, loss of a dog for us is more than just the loss of a pet; it is the loss of a valued "farm hand" in managing our flock of sheep.
