I have tried to teach my wife and daughters to always stay in their lane and brake in this type of deal. Swerving kills people as it defeats the safety features of the car or truck. I am not advocating hitting the clown that started it, but if I have to hit something or somebody it is going to be the clown.
There are a lot of single car fatalities around here when somebody swerves to miss a deer. They miss the deer, but find a tree. Cows are soft, trees are hard.
If I don't have a trailer on is a different scenario than when I'm towing. When towing, I slow or brake as needed but NEVER swerve. Why should the poor people next to me pay the price for the clown?
We can all spot the commandos as they approach, I just give them room for their antics and we all get home.
