While camping this weekend we noticed our hot water very cloudy almost milky color. an ideas ? our cold water is clear. and we are on city water.

Sounds odd that it would just be hot water. But milky could just be air in the water. Fill a clear glass and see if the milky goes away in a couple of minutes. If it does, it's air.
