That's the way we use it. Seems pretty easy. Put it on before showering, shut if off part way through, and put it on before a major dish washing. Breakfast dishes are few, so a kettle part full gives enough hot water in about two minutes.
Why keep 6 gallons of how water cycling off and on all the time?
Then again, if you have an electric heater and are not on a meter.. enjoy as much as you want.
