since we often dry camp 2 weeks at a time, it's a no brainer for us, NO hresidential fridge. use 1/3 gallon of propane/day with RV fridge, 14 days is less than 5 gallons of propane, and it draws 1/3 amp from 12v.
Now if we always has 120V power, it would probably be the other way around. residential fridge is going to be much better at controlling and holding temperature.
