Maybe there's other reasons, but (IMO) - the quality (& longevity) of AC/Propane refrigerators has gone downhill when mfg went from USA to China.
Sure, lots of residential refrigerators made in China - but no burner involved with (only) AC.
Anyone using an AC/propane fridge should have automatic (fusible link) fire protection in the fridge enclosure.
Maybe it will save you from a major loss - maybe not, but it's cheap insurance..;)
