Never had a adsorption fridge catch fire but did have our house fridge catch fire at home once. Guess any type of fridge can cause a fire. We were lucky in that the fire stayed in the fridge and didn't spread to the rest of the house. Did scare us when it happened but after getting over being scared the wife did like getting the new bigger fridge.
