People generally don't pay for electricity once they pay for the RV spot, so they don't care about hte efficeny.

Plus in the 50's a much higher percentage of parks didn't even have electricity.
Exactly. But my point was the feasibility of using residential fridges in RV's just wasn't there until the last decade because of their power usage.
