When we got married we started tent camping. Even though I was (notice, past tense) not an outdoors person, DH is. So camping we went. Always in the middle of nowhere, as far away from people as we could get, never at a campground. Always feeling slightly superior to the people in campers and RVs. That was not real camping!
Fast forward about ten years and DH's back goes out. OUT! No more tents. No more camping. :(
Two years ago, DH was taking a friend to look at a truck that my parent's neighbor was selling and this neighbor tells DH "I'll sell you that RV." LIGHTBULB!!
On the first trip in our 2005 FR GTS we decided that it was too small. So after 2 years we just upgraded to a 2002 Itasca Horizon DP. We couldn't be happier!
The other day we pulled the tent out and I said "We should camp out." We just looked at each other and laughed.
