I believe it is relative to what you can afford. I have paid $90 a night at Disney World. Very expensive for us but being right in the park made the decision easier for us. We are normally pretty frugal and stay at state or federal parks. So for us, $30 is usually tops. And now that I'm over 62, with the America the Bueatiful pass, federal parks are half price. When we went to Yellowstone in May, we stayed at some private parks too. The highest we paid was $49 for full hookups in a nice campground. As far as gas goes, I look for a station that makes it easy to get into and out of rather than price. We prefer Flying J's.
