I haven't read every post so I don't know if this has been pointed out. You saved $10 or $500 per year.
I'm planning to do this on Social Security and my savings so I want to spend wisely. Sometimes I may stay with the "high rollers" to get a special experience, but most of the time I will try to economize within reason. As Dodge Guy points out, it adds up over time. For me "too expensive" is when the relative difference in cost is out of line with the relative difference in value.
