We lean towards that direction also.
The only problem we encounter (because space is limited in our TT and we have to use our shower for storage) is most state/public campgrounds that we have been to on the east coast, bathroom and showers are cleaned poorly, to infrequently or sometimes not at all.
Here on the east coast private campgrounds on a whole seem to do a better job on said above, so sometimes that ways in on our thinking when choosing a campground.
