How do you prevent doing the stucco job on the toilet

use the bowl sprayer!! if you don't have one, get one installed.

Extra water didn't help to keep the seal or the flush valve clean in our case, so the bowl wouldn't hold water. Someone suggested making an X over the valve with two pieces of TP beforehand to prevent skid marks. It works.

Timing is everything. Stomp on that valve handle just as the nose cone is about ready to crash land.
