We are interested in receiving the local channels where we are camped. One customer service rep tells me I need to set up a second account. Another rep told me all I need to do is get another receiver and pay an extra $6.50 per month. How does the billing system work for you and how much do you pay for DirectTV for your RV when if you have DirectTV at home?
If you declare an account just for rv you will be paying double for the service instead of the 6.50 mirroring service.
I have read some posts saying to call DTV and change your zip to where you are. I have asked them to do that but they say they can't.
Good luck finding the CORRECT answer to your question.
I take the second one with us but use antennae for locals if I want them. Not too often.
You might be able to change zipcode to get locals or opt for feeds from the east or west coast that contain Fox, ABC. CBS, NBC etc.
This entails DNS with which you would need DNS and a separate account for the RV plus another programming fee.
