How far to travel with only 2 weeks vacation time/year

I have seen this many times in numerous threads and I find it very interesting how people's opinions differ. So I thought I'd do a quick poll and see what everyone thinks.

We plan to go 1800 miles one way with 650+miles in one day when necessary. So, about 3600 miles round trip.


How far will you travel if you only have 2 weeks of vacation time/year?

    If you actually care about their opinion, let the family vote and enjoy the vacation they would like.

    Maybe watch the movie Family Vacation to gain perspective.

    Personally, since it's fixed, I tend to use time vs. distance as my deciding factor.
    When I have a time limit and no specific plans, I choose a direction and head out. Once I reach 1/2 the amount of time allotted, I turn around and head back, often on a different route.

    My wife and I have done 650 miles in one day (with 2 small dogs), no problem. It all depends on where/what the destination.
    Our rig is convenient and comfortable, and enjoyable to drive. We make quick stops, either for walking the dogs, or whenever we stop for a quick bite.
