Marty do you have something to back that up? It that actually posted somewhere or just a hidden law?
I have lived there all my life and have never seen anything other than "Trucks" limited to 60. I have seen there are weight limits to using the HOV lanes. - Edd505Explorer

65 to 70, 68 seems to be the sweet spot for fuel economy.
+1 must be a Super Duty sweet spot. - blt2skiModeratorMax is 60 mph here in Wa st no matter where you are in the state if you have a gvw over 10K or are pulling a trailer. Seems like a pretty good max to me. I do admit, I will go to around 65. But additional fuel consumption IMHO does not meet the time savings.

When I’m towing I do 60, I will increase my speed to pass someone going slower and to get outta the way of faster traffic, but 60 is my cruising speed. Gives me plenty of time to slow or stop if I need to. I have no problem with people flying past me.

No matter how fast as you someone still will pass you - HannibalExplorer60mph works for me.
- Johno02ExplorerDepends on road and weather conditions. And for most rigs, there will be a "sweet spot" where the rig will run, pull, and drive with less effort on both the drive train and the driver. If you have to fight to hold your speed, or direction, that isn't it.
- furballsExplorerI just looked at the Goodyear site and the Endurance ST 225/75 R 15 speed rating is "n". Speed charts are all over the web an "n" rated tires are listed at 87 mph. I'd have to look, but I am not sure my truck's speedometer even goes that high. At any freeway speed I know both my truck and TT tires are good.
- Dave_H_MExplorer II65. if I went slower, probably be in the next gear down all the time in my gasser.

I went to the trouble of changing the trailer tires to Endurances specifically so as to not be limited to 65.
Where is the speed listed officially? I have the endurance too but I guess assumed the ST rating meant they follow the 65 mph government rating

We tow at 3 mph over whatever the limit for towed vehicles might be. I went to the trouble of changing the trailer tires to Endurances specifically so as to not be limited to 65. I am always confused by the statements that someone is not in a hurry to get anywhere. If I am going at all, I must be going somewhere to do something. Whatever that something is, it certainly isn't being done sitting in a truck cab. I'm jealous of those in states with higher limits. If I could, I would cruise at 75. Mileage? I don't even check. 18,000 lbs. and the aerodynamics of two 4 by 8' sheets of plywood being shoved down the road sideways. Whatever it is, it isn't good.
