85MPH at night with a 34 TT is dangerous driving to say the least. In Canada dangerous driving is a criminal offence.
Interesting thing about the west - 10 over the 75 mph speed limit or driving at the 85 mph speed limit wouldn't be viewed as a criminal act. Calm winds, dry roads, good lights, light traffic, brakes on every axle - don't see the criminal angle at all.
