That's a bit of Apples vs Oranges to me, in the 3 states involved, Wyoming, Colorado and Kansas the speed limit is 75 MPH not 60 MPH like it is in Ontario, and in Ontario speeding by 15 KM/H (10 MPH) over the speed limit the fine is $37.50 and ZERO demerit points.

Dangerous driving is a Criminal Offence, being such, it is not used for anything short of an accident which results in a persons death and can be attributed to behaviour so far from that of a 'reasonable persons actions' as to be criminal in nature.

That is not speeding, in fact even Careless driving was so hard to apply to speeding that they had to invent a whole new category / offence, that of 'stunt or exhibition driving'.

85MPH at night with a 34 TT is dangerous driving to say the least. In Canada dangerous driving is a criminal offence.

Interesting thing about the west - 10 over the 75 mph speed limit or driving at the 85 mph speed limit wouldn't be viewed as a criminal act. Calm winds, dry roads, good lights, light traffic, brakes on every axle - don't see the criminal angle at all under any conditions.

F150 and a TT at 85mph - the leo's prolly couldn't believe their eyes so let skip carry on his important mission...

Skip just reported back in after serious burns from a motorcycle accident where he luckily did not hit his un-helmeted head...nuf said.

After 4 years of towing around the trailer I feel more comfortable pushing the envelope. Used to top out at 55 now I go about 55 ;). No hurry to get there and I find it alot less stressful trying to pass.

With our previous rv that was a gas we traveled at 61 mph. That was its sweet spot. Now we just bought a diesel and have to find out its sweet spot. We are both retired so no need to set any speed records. We get there when we get there.
