How is your fridge secured?

...so it won't tip over or slide when you go around corners.

I have a ratchet strap around mine, but I figure the pros must have a fancier method. And I am thinking about putting something bigger than a dorm fridge in my next van!

Is yours held in place with metal brackets of some sort? Wood framing?

Oh, nice! Thank you, darsben :).

But, hmm, I would have to drill holes and seal them, in the drip pan I have under the fridge. Do 'real' RVs not have a pan? Seems scary...

Holes get drilled in floor of coach. Legs slide into holes

Yes, I understood that :). But I am often away from power for days at a time, and this sometimes means the freezer defrosting. Not unplanned, but it is good to have a pan underneath. Which makes drilling a problem.

  • Meant for stove but you can find them to fit the little leveling legs on most residential fridges
    use four if possible
