How long a trailer and be comfortable towing on a long trip

Length does not matter at all... it is ALL about weights and capacities. You could easily tow a 53' trailer IF it was within your capacities. We went from a 38' fifth wheel to a 42' triple axle. Everyone said I needed a dually long bed based upon length. Problem for them is the new trailer was only 1k heavier and within my trucks specs. The longer trailer is a way more pleasurable towing experience.

Point is... worry about weights not length.
