My opinion is longer trailers tow and back better than shorter ones if you are within your weight capacities, but I find many of the places I camp require a 25' or shorter trailer if you want the nicer spots. There are other locations that have tight radius turns outlined by rocks or trees that prevent long trailers from making the swing around the corners.
We were seriously looking at the big toy haulers to upgrade from our smaller one, but realized how many destinations would be off limits to us due to the extra length. This is why I now tow a 20' enclosed trailer behind a truck carrying a camper - This allows me to bring all the toys while having comfortable living quarters but keep my overall length under 50'. I like this setup so much, that I will look at a stacker for more garage space rather than go longer...
