How long does a water filter last?

Shurflo says up to 2500 gallons on some filters but, how do that know what kind of water you have. If the flow slows down, replace it.

I change mine every year. A season usually defines a specific period within a year. For most of us campers, we put the RV away for the winter meaning that our camping season begins in the spring and ends in the fall.

I have a three filter set-up which lasts for a good 9 months of actual usage by two people over a 2+ yer period. Changed them because we started to notice a little bit of slow-down in the water flow and they were starting to let some calcium through that was starting to spot on the dishes.
