People are not going to be able to give you any accurate advice without a lot more information. First who the heck is Mike Durnell and what is RVW? If if is a dealer and he is the owner the title isn't going to be in his name. Probably isn't even in his possession. His bank will be holding the title if he has the rig floor-planned. If you ordered a new unit, the title won't be transferred until the manufacturer gets paid. If you bought a used vehicle, it can take several months for the title to get into your name since the loan the previous owner had on the rig has to be paid off by the dealer, the bank that was paid off usually waits two weeks to be sure the check is good, then they tell their records department to find the title, sign off on the lien and then send it to the dealer. The dealer then gets the title, attaches the new titling information and sends it on to the state to record any new liens and issue a title in the new owner's name. Depending upon the state that can take hours to months. If there are multiple states involved, it can be even more complicated. Honestly, most vehicle dealerships do not accept credit cards for full payment precisely for the reason you mentioned, a disputed charge. Vehicle dealerships are all about cash flow, a few $20,000 credit card disputes that can take months to sort out can break a dealer pretty quick. And as these forums show, you can dispute those charges and hurt the dealer without valid reasons. In those cases, the dealer will get their money in the end, but they may be forced out of business in the interim.
