We live in the frozen north so the first trip of the year can take anywhere up to about 3 weeks. This year we had to replace some of the stuff used to connect the car to the class C. The local dealer didn't have the parts in stock so it took a week to get the parts. Then there is washing the rig, making any necessary repairs etc, etc.
Once we have the RV ready and know where we are going, all we have to do is load up the food, check that we have the right clothes, maybe fill up the gas tank and/or propane and go. Maybe a couple of hours.
