My 2 door Dometic lasted 12 years. Parked it in winter and found the yellow mark of death all over the cooling unit in the spring. I always inspect it for a leak before each trip. Mostly used the fridge on electric except 1 or 2 boondocking weekends a year. Always traveled with fridge running on gas. Sure glad it didn't leak out while it was on and burn the whole rig down. I did not go with another absorption fridge again.
Have a residental absorption fridge in a remote cabin from the 50s. Still works like a charm. Funny, that large fridge cools down faster than any RV fridge I ever owned.
