Here's an idea for you if you "really" don't want to run your refer when traveling. Click here.
We bought one of these 20 years ago and it's marvelous! Unfortunately, late last Summer, it finally died. It served well.
So we bought a new one, this one, and simply plug it into the camper cigarette lighter in the camper that's right at the television booster button.
It comes with an adapter so you can plug it into the wall too.
OMG! Does this thing get cold! We keep drinks in it and it seems they always have a bit of ice in them when popping the cap! It runs on 12 volt D.C. you could even plug it into your auto's cigarette outlet. We bring it along even sometimes when grocery shopping for cold foods. We keep it plugged in 24x7 in the camper (as we use the camper at home so much). Great for drinks.
Anyway, it's an alternative so you can continue running a refrigerator without running your RV one.
