Our neighbors run a semi from here to Miami and back every week. Its a husband and wife tag team. I believe they accomplish the driving in 5 and take 2 days off. 6000 miles per week....week after week. One of my more difficult drives was when I drove 500 miles to pick up our fiver. Hooked up and discovered I needed to get some work done on my truck.So I got about a few hours break before turning around and pulling the trailer home. I was alone which probably made it easier but on the other hand the driving was through the mountains in winter with most of the miles covered in the dark. I think I left at 3 in the morning and got home at 7 the next morning.
If my wife and I were planning your trip we would leave very early in the morning (3am). After lunch my wife would drive till supper time and I would drive the last stretch.
