I once took 1.5 days to travel 600 miles...
Mechanical break downs, traffic, etc... it was a nightmare.. took 12 hours to travel 400 miles...I was never so happy to set camp up at the end of that first day.
Did make the 600 mile return trip in 12 hours... much smoother return trip.
1200 miles one way? I'd give three days...
